Last updated: July 2026. This policy explains what Callibi is, what it is not, and how we handle your information.
What Callibi Is
Callibi is an internet communication platform. It gives every registered user a permanent, unique Callibi Number used to message, call, video chat, and share files with other Callibi users over the internet.
What Callibi Is Not
To avoid any confusion, Callibi is not:
- A telecom service
- A mobile network operator
- A telephone company
We do not provide real phone numbers, SMS services, or PSTN (traditional telephone network) calling of any kind. A Callibi Number only functions inside the Callibi platform and cannot receive calls or texts from the traditional phone network.
User Data
We collect the information you provide directly — your name, username, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text) — along with the Callibi Number you choose at registration. We also collect basic technical data (such as IP address, an approximate country derived from it, and browser type) to keep the platform secure and to verify eligibility, since Callibi is currently open to India only.
Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account at any time. Once deleted, your profile information is removed and your Callibi Number is permanently retired — it will not be reissued to another user. Some records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Cookies
Callibi uses a session cookie to keep you signed in securely. We do not use cookies to sell your data or serve third-party advertising.
Security
Passwords are hashed, all database queries use prepared statements, and forms are protected against cross-site request forgery. We continually work to harden the platform as it grows.
Data Storage
Your data is stored in a secured MySQL database. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.
Third-Party Services
Callibi does not sell personal data to third parties. Where third-party infrastructure (such as hosting) is used, it is solely to operate the platform, and those providers are bound to protect your information appropriately. If you purchase a VIP number, payment is processed by PayU; we do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details — PayU shares back only the transaction status and a payment reference.
